Leanne lost 6 stone 5lbs in 8 months, gained a lot more confidence, broke from an unhappy marriage – and is in a much better place now. The episiode was shown 02/09/13 on Sky Living.

Speaking on Radio Humberside many times – recently in October 2010 with tips get active, and in Decmber 2010  – tips to get warm and exercising…….when we had the coldest winter for years.

As a local fitness professional, I have developed my knowledge of nutrition and exercise training to help many people in East Yorkshire.

I now run my Personal Training Business from Hessle, using Hessle Rugby Club as a base for training clients in their quest to look and feel better.

Background

” I was always interested in sport, and had success competing in both Football and Athletics to a high level as a teenager. I had some trials for football at Hull City, and excelled at several athletic events including 100m, 800m and 1500m. At an academic level, I became more and more interested in human biology and how the body functions as a whole.

Physical Education, Biology, and Psychology were my subjects at A-Level - and I also gained a Community Sports Leadership Award so that I could coach children the basics in games and activities

University called! Sport and Exercise Science at Sheffield Hallam University specialising in Sports Nutrition and Sport and Exercise Psychology.

I developed my knowledge and gained invaluable experience working as a Gym Instructor at at the Village Hotel and Leisure club in Hull.  It gave me access to many people looking to lose fat - and in a few years had conducted thousands of One-to-One sessions, Individual Health checks, and exercise classes. I became quite a popular BODYPUMP and SPINNING Instructor…….and also learned both the benefits and the pitfalls of group exercise training. (I now run Bootcamps which eliminate most of these flaws – than can be read about HERE)”

Business went a little too well(!)…………

And so I transitioned into training groups of people………and then I made the leap to coaching clients in my private space at Hessle Rugby Club!

Now – I am not looking back……and am helping many people try and lose some fat, look a little fitter

 

 

I have done several courses and hundreds of seminars to enhance my knowledge…..I won’t name them all here!

The main qualifications of interest might be….:

  • Degree in Sport and Exercise Science
  • Precision Nutrition Certified Trainer
  • CHEK Weightlifting: How to Optimise Performance and Prevent Injury
  • Training For Warriors Level 1
  • ‘Les Mills BodyPump’ and ‘Keiser Spinning’ Trainer  (I no longer teach these as think there are better ways)
